Vikings!
Hello again from P6!
Our new topic is Vikings and here we are getting started with our Skills Based Learning sessions. We made shields and axes, translated runes, plotted a Viking king’s voyage using coordinates, created Viking images using both chalk and our brand new iPads, and lots more! We really enjoyed this busy and productive session – a lovely introduction into the fascinating lives of the Vikings.
100th day of School
Our return to school after half-term has been very busy! We celebrated the 100th Day of School by participating in lots of activities based on the number 100.
Our Maths focused on rounding to the nearest 100. Mrs Van Giesen made a fun quiz for us to try and win some house points!
Our Art lesson tasked us to make ourselves into 100 year olds. We used an iPad to take a photograph and an app to make ourselves look old. We had a lot of fun doing this!
World Book Day
Andrews Memorial Primary School know how to celebrate World Book Day!
What an amazing day with lots of activities for us to enjoy!
The highlight of our day was the big ‘Booky Catwalk’. We are so proud of everyone who participated and our P6 Librarians who were the fabulous judges.
