SBL – Violent Earth
P6 thoroughly enjoyed their first active learning session based around our WAU topic ‘Violent Earth’. They completed a range of activities linked to different areas of the curriculum, which are designed to develop their problem solving and thinking skills. As you can see from the photos below the children really enjoy working with their peers during these SBL sessions.
50th Day of School 70s Style
On Friday 18th November the whole school kicked off our 50th anniversary celebrations by rolling back the years to 1972/73. The P6s entered into the spirit of the day by coming to school dressed in a spectacular variety of 70s costumes. We played a range of games around the theme of 50, with spot prizes for the winners.
One of the highlights of the day was a 1970s disco, where we were able to put our dance moves into practice by channelling our inner Saturday Night Fever … John Travolta eat your heart out!
