Hello P2! Here is where you will find ideas to support your home learning journey. Please find attached a learning grid and ideas to help you with some practical work. We will be setting fun weekly challenges to keep you busy so stay tuned!

Have a watch at these two episodes of the Alphablocks to help you learn your new sound.

There are lots of online games for you to play to revise your sounds you have already been learning and any new ones in the next few weeks. Can you find these sounds in the reading books you are reading at home, too?

Spellings

Here are your spellings for you to have a go at at home. If you are unsure as to which group your child is in, there is a sticker on their name label with either a silver star or a blue star. You can continue with these spellings in your spelling homework book as normal.

Reading

You can continue on with your reading at home through Oxford Owl and other websites we have attached in the Home Learning Grid at the top of this page. Don’t forgot to keep learning your High Frequency Words too! Here is the list below to keep you going.

In P2, we have been learning lots about space. During Play Based Learning, the children have been doing lots of activities about planets, role-playing in a space station, painting and using the Bee-Bots. We have had lots of fun learning all about the order of the planets, with our favourite song from the Story Bots. Here are some photos of us in action.
