Autumn fun in P1
It’s hard to believe that it is nearly the end of our first half term. They are all doing so well, making new friends, playing and learning.
We have enjoyed Play Based Learning both indoors and outdoors!
Not forgetting our trip to the orchard to collect the apples and then making our apple jam!
Autumn is so much fun! 🍂

P1 news 2023
February / March
In February we enjoyed playing outside and spotting some signs of Spring.
Archie and his Dad brought some lambs to visit us. We enjoyed getting to feed them.
On Thursday, 2nd March we celebrated World Book Day. The costumes were amazing! Thank you to all the parents for all their hard work. The P7 children had written some stories for us and they came to read them to us.
This term we also enjoyed a ‘Trip Down Memory Lane’ to celebrate our school’s 50th year. Miss Dawson and Mrs Bovill certainly enjoyed rolling back the years to our time as pupils here. The children enjoyed us reading out our school reports! The children loved looking at the toys that some of the teachers used to play with.
Our topic this term was Transport. We loved seeing the bus from the 1970’s that came for our Trip Down Memory Lane.
We took a survey of the traffic that went past the school and collated the data into a pictogram. (Who would have thought we’d learn about statistics in P1!) We learnt about land, sea and water transport during play.
