| 12 December 2023 | Education Authority (EA) publishes information on website about the primary school admissions procedure and admissions criteria for schools/providers |
| 9 January 2024 (midday) | Online portal on EA website opens for applications |
| 26 January 2024 (midday) | Online portal closes – applications received after this date & time will be marked as late |
| 31 January 2024 (4pm) | Final submission for additional/supporting information not available at time of original application NB – if information is received late, it will not be processed until the application period has closed |
| 20 February 2024 | Date by which primary schools select pupils at first preference stage |
| 23 April 2024 | Close of P1 admissions procedure |
| 25 April 2024 | Parents receive notification of P1 placement |
